ROV Neutral buoyancy tether cable| Power & Data Transmission
A high-performance, integrated power and fiber optic cable engineered specifically for reliable surface water deployment. This buoyant hybrid cable seamlessly combines floating capability, high-speed data transmission, and remote power supply in one robust, easy-to-deploy surface cable solution.
Key Features
To withstand the unique demands of the air-water interface, our design of surface deployment cables is governed by three fundamental engineering principles:
Buoyancy-System Balance
Maintaining optimal cable flotation on water requires meticulous calculation of the dynamic balance between cable weight, payload, environmental forces, and material buoyancy to ensure stable floating posture.
Durability for Harsh Marine Environments:
Materials are selected to create a UV resistant and waterproof cable that endures relentless exposure, temperature extremes, saltwater corrosion resistance, mechanical fatigue, and anti-biofouling cable properties.
Low-Drag Deployment
The cable's low-drag cable profile and construction are optimized to minimize hydrodynamic drag, resist torsion, and ensure stable towing and retrieval of surface-deployed equipment.
Core Features
All-in-One Integration for Simplified Systems
Persistent & Autonomous Surface Buoyancy
Ruggedized Reliability for Extended Outdoor Use
Built as a weatherproof and abrasion-resistant cable, its surface-floating design avoids seabed damage. The high-visibility surface cable jacket ensures safe tracking and simplifies maintenance of floating cable systems.
Neutral Buoyancy Specifications
Standard Condition: Optimized for seawater at 35 PSU salinity and 10°C.
Performance: Achieves near-zero net buoyancy (< 0.02 N/m) for minimal drag in subsea applications.
Buoyancy Adjustability: Supports precise fine-tuning via optional buoyancy modules (density 0.3-0.95 g/cm³) or customized extruded jackets (density 0.55-1.10 g/cm³) to adapt to freshwater, high-salinity, or specific depth applications.
Key Note: Standard seawater cables will sink in freshwater. Please specify your operating medium for a perfectly balanced neutrally buoyant tow cable or instrumentation cable.
