Arctic Grade Instrumentation Cables
Arctic Grade Instrumentation Cables | -40℃ Signal Stability
RouLine Arctic Grade Instrumentation Cable is engineered as a signal integrity cable for extreme cold, ensuring stable data transmission even at -60℃. With TPEE insulation and optimized stranding design, it delivers low temperature cable with stable signal transmission performance, maintaining dielectric properties and impedance stability in polar environments. Field-tested in Antarctic projects, this cold-resistant instrumentation cable with low signal loss guarantees reliable operation for critical research equipment.
Deployed in Antarctic seawater by a Polar Research Project, this low-temperature underwater cable has proven its freeze-thaw resistance and signal stability after prolonged exposure in freezing saltwater environments.
Key Features
1. Low Temperature Flexibility & Cold Impact Resistance
Arctic Grade Material Formulation: Utilizes specialty silicone rubber and modified polyolefin insulation to maintain superior flexibility from -40°C down to -60°C, eliminating stiffening or brittle fracture.
Flexible for Dynamic Cold Environments: Achieves a minimum bending radius as low as 3x cable OD (dynamic conditions) and withstands over 5 million cold-bending cycles, effectively resolving issues of jacket cracking and insulation fracturing in extreme cold.
2. Low Attenuation Signal Transmission in Extreme Cold
Stable Dielectric Performance: Optimized conductor stranding and insulation structure ensure stable dielectric properties at low temperatures. At -40°C, signal attenuation is ≤0.5dB/100m (1kHz), with impedance fluctuation controlled within ±5Ω.
High-Fidelity Signal Integrity: Guarantees low-distortion, low-latency transmission for both analog and digital signals in ultra-low temperature environments.
3. Exceptional Weatherability & Freeze-Thaw Resistance
Extreme Freeze-Thaw Endurance: Engineered to withstand over 1000 repeated freeze-thaw cycles from -40°C to -60°C with no performance degradation.
Ice and Moisture Barrier: Features a jacket with ultra-low water absorption (≤0.1%), effectively preventing insulation failure caused by moisture ingress from melting ice and snow. Offers excellent resistance to ice, frost, and rime.
4. High Mechanical Strength & Robust Reliability
Reinforced Structural Integrity: Combines ultra-fine stranded conductors with a cold-resistant strengthening structure to ensure tensile strength ranging from 100 to 2000KG at low temperatures and tear strength ≥25N/mm².
Resistance to Complex Stresses: Withstands frequent dragging, bending, vibration, and impact in cold environments without conductor breakage or layer separation.
5. Comprehensive Environmental Adaptability
Multi-Stress Tolerance: Beyond ultra-low temperature performance, it exhibits excellent resistance to aging, salt spray (tested to ≥2000 hours), oil, and UV radiation, making it ideal for complex and harsh environments.
Technical Specifications
