Reeling Cable Project for Port of Tianjin

Project Information

Product: Reeling Cable,   Spreader Cable,   Festoon Cable

Location: Tianjin, China

Application: Power supply and fiber-optic data communication.

    Continuous Dynamic Operation

Reeling cables provide power to cranes traveling along terminal rails and may operate at medium-voltage levels.  Designed for the demanding motion of Port Cranes, with reliable performance under repeated bending, frequent reeling, high tensile loads, and harsh marine exposure.

Dynamic Motion — Repeated Bending + Reeling / Unreeling

High Mechanical Load — High Tensile Loads

Marine Resistance — Salt Spray + Humidity

Harsh Environment — Oil + UV Radiation

Reeling cables provide power to cranes traveling along terminal rails and may operate at medium-voltage levels. Depending on the application, they can incorporate tinned copper conductors, aramid fiber or steel-wire reinforcement, and a high-performance PUR outer jacket to provide the flexibility, mechanical strength, and environmental resistance required for long-term dynamic operation.

Port of Tianjin

Port of Tianjin is one of the world's top ten ports. Till 2023, Port of Tianjin boasts a total shoreline length of 32.7 kilometers, with a water area of 336 square kilometers and a land area of 131 square kilometers. It features a harbor depth of 22 meters and is equipped with 213 berths, including 128 berths capable of handling vessels over 10,000 tons. As a key node in the New Eurasian Land Bridge Economic Corridor and an international hub port open to global trade, Tianjin Port has consistently ranked among the top ten ports worldwide for multiple consecutive years. The port demonstrates strong service coverage both domestically and internationally, operating 147 container shipping routes with over 550 weekly flights.
